Facebook Advertising

Facebook advertising can be very beneficial if you know how to use it. If you are already using adwords or some other type of contextual advertising, then facebook advertising should somewhat be a breeze. Now in facebook, targeting your ads is actually pretty simple, and it shows you what number of users that are on at that time that are targeted for your keywords, country location, and demographics such as gender and age. So if you wanted to sell something that was say a birthday item then you could actually target people who are having a birthday. You can even target it all the way down to a person living in Mexico who is a female who is 30 who likes cake who is fixing to have a birthday. It is that sophisticated. This is what makes it convert high so long as you write a good ad. I have found that these ads are a lot cheaper than say adwords or microsoft adcenter ads. They are also a lot less intrusive so visitors on facebook that might look at your ad might be more inclined to click on it instead of saying "hey it's another ad" and not click on it at all. You can actually get some ad credits to play around with if you are unsure. The simplest way to do this is to do a search for the Visa Business Network in facebook and apply for the application. They will send you a confirmation link and then another link to get the promo code. The code is for a 100 dollar ad credit. Pretty sweet huh. If you have trouble with applying the credit like I did, just contact facebook support through the Visa Business Network site while logged in and tell facebook what is going on. I e-mailed them and in 48 hrs had my 100 dollar ad credits. I hope this might encourage you to step out and explore this exciting way of advertising. Good luck and God Bless. |
